Senior Communications and Project Coordinator (Hybrid)

Since 2018, RISE has provided more than $8 million in funding and support to businesses creating cutting-edge products addressing everything from reducing shoreline erosion to helping commuters negotiate flooded roads.

Your role:

You will play a key role in supporting our communications functions, managing complex projects, organizing events, and leading our new RISE program alumni program. Reporting to the Chief Strategy and Communications Officer, this full-time hybrid role is ideal for someone who is proactive, highly organized, and brings innovative tools and methods to streamline and enhance existing processes.

Here You’ll Get To:

Project Management:

    • Assist in the organization and coordination of Innovation Challenges, including marketing, PR, and communication strategies.

    • Develop and lead the Innovation Challenge winner alumni program, fostering a community of past winners and facilitating networking opportunities.

    • Utilize advanced project management tools to track progress, meet deadlines, and ensure successful outcomes.

    • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize organizational efficiency.

Communications and Events:

    • Develop and execute internal and external communications strategies.

    • Assist in community relations outreach.

    • Craft compelling content for various platforms, including press releases, social media, newsletters, and our website.

    • Coordinate and manage events, including logistics, promotion, and execution.

    • Maintain strong relationships with new and existing contractors.

You Are:

    • A proactive ‘self-starter’ who takes initiative to get things done and thrives without supervision but knows when to ask for support.

    • Collaborative, curious and excited about impactful work.

You have:

    • A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

    • Proven experience in project management, communications, and events management.

    • Expertise in using advanced project management tools (e.g., Trello, G-suite, Zoom).

    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Experience working cross-functionally to achieve common goals.
